Tuesday, April 4th, 6:30–9 pm
     $15 - if registered PRIOR to January 31, 2017 at 11:59 pm
$20 - if registering AFTER February 1, 2017 at 12:01 am  (a few tickets may be available at the door)

The Ice Cream Social is the kickoff event for the MQX Quilt Festival - New England. It has been a Tuesday evening tradition for several years and on this night we toss calorie counting out the window. We’re talking an ice cream smorgasbord!

The evening is a relaxing opportunity to meet up with old friends and make new ones. In addition, many of the MQX-New England faculty are available for a “Meet and Greet.” Each will have an area set up to show off their newest books, DVD’s, patterns, fabrics or products. The program begins with each teacher giving a brief overview of what their class offerings are at MQX. If you’ve never participated in this event, now’s the time to give it go.

Janet-Lee and Mary carefully select a song from a 70's sitcom or some other nostalgic song we'll all remember, then they change up the words to fit MQX. They have been known to sing a bit off key and out of sync but the laughter more than makes up for it. For 2017, they have will have a NEW song! As usual, they have the lyrics printed on T-shirts and toss them into the audience, concert style.
