M125-17 Gathering up the Fragments
Build a small collage quilt with vintage doilies, quilt blocks, buttons, and other fragments.
Sewing machines provided for your use in class.
M153-17 Rock Around The Block
Nancy has redesigned the traditional Jack's Chain block eliminating all the Y seams! You already know how to make those cute little 9 patches, now let's learn how to put them in a new setting and make them "ROCK AROUND THE BLOCK"!
In class, Nancy will also show you an alternate layout. Fat quarters (9) are perfect for your colors (9 patch blocks). You will need yardage for the background
A small template is required for class. Template will be included with your pattern.

The perfect class for a first time paper piecer! Let Gail introduce you to the quickest, easiest way to piece intricate designs. Her freezer paper foundation method is quick to learn and you’ll be on your way to piecing a single block of the Winding Ways pattern that can be expanded to make a full quilt, or stitched into an adorable tote bag. You’ll pick up plenty of tips to make paper piecing fun! $25.00 kit includes pattern, fabric for block, freezer paper and pencil.

In this class, we will cover how to make and piece a variety of different hexagon quilt all on your domestic sewing machine. You will love this fun, fast, and easy method. Suitable for all levels.

Design your own circular stars in different settings. Students will learn drafting and paper foundation piecing techniques as well as tips for glorious color selection. By the afternoon, you’ll be stitching together your one-of-a-kind celestial masterpiece! A circular star pattern is available as a backup if necessary for students that are not happy with their design.

English Paper Piecing is given new life when we recreate designs from this 1940's vintage quilt. Learn the basic Paper Piecing techniques while creating this unique variation of a mosaic block – one that inspired the name of the class. Find inspiration in the traditions of yesteryear, and enjoy the peaceful pleasures of hand stitches in this portable piecing project.
M327-17 Little Goose, Little Goose, Fly Away Home
Learn how to create this charming house block with a flying goose insert in a fun, half day class. The class is designed for students of all skill levels who wish to learn Gail’s creative design and piecing processes and techniques in a low stress, easy to finish class! Students will get an introduction to original design concepts and have detailed instruction in freezer paper piecing techniques and curved seam piecing. Have fun with ALL of your fabrics – even the oddballs! Learn great methods for rotary cutting and machine piecing scrappy nine patch blocks with speed and precision. Handout has step by step instructions, quilt design variations and yardage/cutting charts for crib through king sized quilts.
M349-17 Log Cabin Improv with a Vintage Twist
Come play with Vintage as we recreate the timeless Log Cabin block with a modern slant. Embrace the magic as you are given permission to combine the love of vintage with a fast, fun modern twist. Students will work with vintage textiles and a jelly roll to create Improv Log Cabin blocks. These can then be set in a variety of ways to create your own version of a Modern Log Cabin. The workshop is packed full of tips for working with vintage textiles and ways to showcase these treasured pieces. Students are encouraged to bring their own vintage blocks and fragments or they may purchase a kit of their choice in class. Finished sizes will vary.

For beginners and experienced piecers alike. We'll cover ergonomics, cutting, pressing and stitching techniques designed to amp up your piecing skills!
M417-17 Compass Firestar
Easy to piece! NO Y seams, NO paper piecing! During class time, we will take a quick break so that I can show the other blocks and borders that can be created from the basic units from the main block. Template set required, cost $15
M421-17 Anna's Starflake
Want to learn a new technique, one that has probably been on your bucket list? Paper Piecing! Your star points will be perfect! This is a great quilt to learn what all the buzz is about when it comes to paper piecing. Remember paint by number? Well think of paper piecing in kind of the same way. You will be sewing instead of painting in a numbered fashion/order. Nancy appeared on Love of Quilting pbs tv show, episode 2804 demonstrating how to make the block. Anna’s Starflake is named after my granddaughter, Annalynne.

This class is especially tailored for the novice paper foundation-piecer. Working with one of Gail’s designs, learn the ins and outs of this fascinating technique that enables the student to stitch very complex designs with ease and best of all, accuracy. (Fabric kits are available for this class)
