Tuesday, September 26th, 6:30–9 pm
$15 fee - open to everyone

The Ice Cream Social is the kickoff event for the MQX Quilt Festival - New England. It has been a Tuesday evening tradition for several years and on this night, calories don't count!

The evening is a relaxing opportunity to meet up with old friends and make new ones. In addition, many of the MQX-Midwest faculty are available for a “Meet and Greet.” Showing off their newest books, DVD’s, patterns, fabrics, or products, and available for photos and Q & A. The program begins with each faculty member giving a brief overview of what their class offerings are at MQX.

As usual, Janet-Lee and Mary have carefully selected a song from a 70's sitcom, 80's hit, or some other song where the song takes us back to another place in time. Of course they've changed the words to fit MQX.

Let's just say that they have been known to sing a bit off key and out of sync but the laughter more than makes up for it. For 2017, they have will have a NEW song! As usual, they have the lyrics printed on T-shirts and toss them into the audience, concert style.

New for 2017….. The MQX Funkalicious Shoes Contest. Are you a shoe collector? Got some funky ones? Wear them to the ice cream social. We’ll get you to strut your stuff and maybe you’ll win a prize!Funky shoes
