This year MQX will again offer several special events, The Ice Cream Social, Fashion Show and Friday Night Banquet are open to all Rgistered and Non Registered Students. Simply check the appropiate registration fee when ordering.
Ice Cream Social: Tuesday, April 13th 7-9:30 pm - $10 - By popular request we are bringing back the Ice Cream Social. The "game" this year will be MQX Trivia (to include Janet-Lee & Mary trivia) which will be hosted by MQX Trivia Guru, Carrie Zizza. 2010 Awards Ceremony: Wednesday, April 14th 5-6 pm - $7 - Awards and appetizers are on the agenda for this kickoff event! Tons of money to award, tons of prizes....... be there. Fashion Extravaganza: Thursday, April 15th 7:30-9:30 pm - $10 - Did you miss Mark Lipinski's appearance at MQX's banquet last year. Banquet featuring Special Guest Speaker, Helen Squire: Frida y, April 16th 7:00-10:00 pm - $45 - We will begin the evening with a nice dinner n the beautiful RICC ballroom as as we roll into dessert, Helen Squire Live! will take over the stage. Helen has been in this business for over 30 years and she has a unique and often hilarious perspe ctive on the industry. MQX is please to present the following Special Exhibits for your enjoyment. All these exhibits will be located in the Exhibit Halls.
The Sharon Schamber Collection - Award winning quilt creator, Sharon Schamber, has graciously offered to allow us to show her magnificent quilts. This collection is a sampling of her extraordinary talent. Sharon is the recipient of a Masterpiece Quilt Distinction and has won a multitude of awards including many of the nation's top quilting prizes. Sharon's $100,000 Quilting Challenge quilt will be included in this display, courtesy of All American Crafts Publishing.  Lost Heroes Quilt - This 70" tall by 185" wide (yes, that's 185 inches) quilt is a tribute to lost soldiers and is the brain child of Julie Feingold. This non-political work of art includes 82 heroes reflecting the diversity of America. MQX is proud to host this moving and memorable exhibit. The creator will be present to discuss what inspired her to create this tribute. She will also have The Lost Heroes Keepsake Book for sale in her booths #628-630.
