CONGRATULATIONS to Kim Brunner
Machine Quilting Teacher of the Year
 MQX Founders Janet-Lee Santeusanio and Mary Schilke presented Kim Brunner the award for 2009 Machine Quilting Teacher of the Year. Awarded at the Machine Quilters Exposition banquet on Friday, April 16th, Kim recollected that she was dragged into teaching "kicking and screaming" by the MQX Founders. She went on to thank those that voted for her as well as her family, friends and colleagues for their support and inspiration.
Kim Brunner comes from a long line of quilters, and has made it her goal to bring her family’s quilting history into the future. Her work has won multiple national and international level awards and has been featured in numerous books, magazines, calendars and on the website of the American Quilter’s Society. Nominated three times for Teacher of the Year, and known for her crazy sense of humor and her beautiful feather designs, her style combines laughter with years of experience. The owner of Kimmyquilt.com, she produces instructional DVDs of the highest quality, a line of quilting patterns, a line of digitized patterns for computerized quilters, and is a frequent contributor to quilting industry publications. She lives in Minnesota with her husband, two children, an awful lot of fabric and assorted pets.
