Nomination Form for Machine Quilting Teacher of the Year
Each year, we see for ourselves how dedicated, caring and knowledgeable the instructors are in the machine quilting industry. They have a passion for sharing their knowledge and creative energy with us in the classroom day-in and day-out. This award is a way to recognize one special teacher’s part in revolutionizing machine quilting and turning it into a widely accepted art form; in this country and all over the world.
Machine Quilters Exposition would like to once again acknowledge one of these teachers with the Fourth Annual; Machine Quilting Teacher-of-the-Year Award. Nominations for this award will be accepted by MQX from November 1, 2009 through February 1, 2010.
Instead of the contest being exclusively by popular vote, the winner will be chosen from nomination essays received and reviewed by a panel of impartial members of the machine quilting community. The essay should be more than 100 words but less than 500 words. Please help our panel to understand how this teacher has not only changed you as a machine quilter but also how you feel this teacher may have altered the machine quilting industry. This Award is open to all machine quilting teachers throughout the industry, not just teachers employed by MQX.
Please be sure to write in WHY this person has inspired you.
REMEMBER: Your nomination is for a MACHINE QUILTING teacher.
Special thanks to King's Men Quilting Supply and the Taft Family for sponsoring this prestigious award. King's Men is the premier supplier of batting, thread and machine quilting related products to the industry.
Votes without the written statement as to WHY this person is
deserving of this award, will not be counted.
VOTING IS NOW CLOSED!
Thank you for voting. Voting closed February 1st.
The winner of the 2009 Teacher of the Year will be announced on April 16th at the MQX 2010 Banquet.
