What are YOU doing at MQX this Year?

Check listHMMMMM..... What's on your check list for MQX?  Just taking in the show to see the quilts and shop the vendors?  Looking to buy a machine?  Are you taking classes?  How about evening events?  What are you signed up for?

If you're taking in the show to view the quilts and Special Exhibits and shop the Runnervendors, think about purchasing your Fast Pass Admission in advance. No lines, no hassle........

The MQX vendor mall is full of fabric, machines, threads, gadgets and possibly anything else you can think of that's quilting related....... a couple not quilting related....... all worth seeing.  Here's the
Exhibitor list

There is still room in many classes.  But before you sign up, add on classes or book an event, be sure to check out the
Class Availability & Updates page on the MQX website.

MQX is known for its fun and fabulous evening
events.  There's something for everyone.

Ice Cream Social - this kick off event is filled with fun, show and tell, trivia and attendees are serenaded by Janet-Lee and Mary.  Ok, so serenade is a stretch.  Oh... and don't forget the ice cream!

Awards Ceremony - this is where you'll hear about the winners of the quilt competition.  Appetizers will be served and attendees will receive early entry into the Sneak-Peek-Preview.

Fashion Extravaganza featuring Cathy Franks as the 2010 Wearable Artist and Mark Lipinski as Master of Ceremonies. Can you imagine these two on a stage together?  The reveal of the competition garments, accessory challenge and awards.  A great evening for all.

Banquet with Special Guest Speaker, Helen Squire  Dinner, Viewer's Choice and Helen Squire Live!  The final award of Machine Quilting Teacher of the Year will be a wonderful conclusion to Friday.

Limit of 3 scissors, please!  There is a nominal fee of $1 per pair of scissors sharpened.

VolunteerVOLUNTEERS, VOLUNTEERS, VOLUNTEERS!  Get a glimpse of MQX behind the scenes.  There are many volunteer opportunities available at MQX. Event assistance, security, white glovers, set up, take down and registered students may volunteer as Teacher Angels.  We have a prize drawing exclusive to volunteers.  Are you collecting MQX mugs?  This may be the last year for our "Wave Mug"... volunteer for three hours and receive one of these collector mugs.  Fill out the Volunteer Form online and see Volunteer Services at the show.

Prior to paying your admission at MQX, attendees will be required to fill out a short registration card.  Bringing return address labels will make this process much faster.  There's also the FAST PASS option too. That will eliminate filling out the card altogether!

We are looking forward to seeing you in Providence.  This is an exciting and scary year for us....... moving MQX East to Rhode Island and adding a second show to Portland, Oregon in the fall of 2011....... lots of new adventures!

Even more, we appreciate you taking this journey with us; we created this show for you.  Please be sure to let us know what you'd like to see at MQX....... teachers, events, exhibits.... we are always open to suggestions!
