MQX Quilt FestivalsTM
     New England, Midwest

New England
Manchester, New Hampshire (April 10-13, 2019)
     Springfield, Illinois (September 19-22, 2018)

MQX Quilt Festivals are conducted with a focus on machine quilters. For the last five years, the class offerings have been broadened to include more educational opportunities in piecing, embroidery, business, art, and design. Each show offers a wide variety of quilts on display, vendors, classes and events.

We offer personalized service and consider each student an honored guest. It is our mission to create an environment to learn from the best instructors in the quilting industry, meet fellow quilters, and keep everyone current on the latest products and techniques in the quilt world.

Welcome to the MQX Experience!

Catch a Glimpse Behind the Scenes

  August 29, 2018

What do you know about MQX?
Here's a couple of tidbits of information

Did you know that the first 'get together' was in Janet-Lee's living room?
Yup, April 15, 2000 was the first time. Not yet MQX, it all began as a get together for 48 machine quilters.

Did you know that Janet-Lee and Mary didn't know each other?
A brief meeting in the summer of '99 in a class with Linda Taylor at the local dealer's studio. Who knew that we would end up best friends and creating MQX from nothing. Neither one of us had ever worked at a quilt show.

Meet the MQX Crew!

Everyone is getting ready for Springfield! Because they mostly work behind the scenes, let's introduce them.  From left to right:
Cricket Lomicka (photography)
Jeffrey Lomicka (photography)
Janice Kagenski, (volunteers)
Kathie Beltz (judging room, Walking Tours)
Michelle Flynn (Janet-Lee's assistant and MQX Merchandise)
June Giles (teacher liaison"June of all trades")
Kathryn Amadon (Mary's assistant, administration)
Bill Schilke (Admissions and "Bill of all trades")
Diana Annis (judging room "Diana of all trades")
Carolyn Tusinski (judging room, setup, takedown manager)

All of these wonderful people are dedicated MQX family and most have been working with us for more than 10 years!
