Welcome to the MQX Quilt FestivalsTM Blog!

New England
Manchester, New Hampshire (April 10-13, 2019)

MQX Quilt Festivals are conducted with a focus on machine quilters. For the last five years, the class offerings have been broadened to include more educational opportunities in piecing, embroidery, business, art, and design. Each show offers a wide variety of quilts on display, vendors, classes and events.

We offer personalized service and consider each student an honored guest. It is our mission to create an environment to learn from the best instructors in the quilting industry, meet fellow quilters, and keep everyone current on the latest products and techniques in the quilt world.

Welcome to the MQX Experience!

Marching Toward Classes and Fun at MQX

  February 18, 2019

February is flying by and like worker bees we are flying around getting prepared for the upcoming show. Now is the time to sign up for classes, take advantage of the opportunity to push yourself to new levels and in person with the teachers that will show you how to incorporate new skills into your quilting life.

VENDORS - The MQX Vendor Malls are about full with one 10' x 10' space remaining. Could we squeeze in a couple more? Sure. Here are a few of the newest additions to the MQX Vendor Malls.  Click here for the most recent list of vendors.

The Felting Studio - Kits and tapestries that can be quilted

Keepsake Quilting - Recently sold to Pineapple Quilts, with new fabrics and kits

Barbara Persing - she's teaching and vending this year

Sue's Fabric World - panels, cheater fabric, and unique fabrics

Ideal Jewelry - beautiful silver jewelry

Rita's Racques - template and ruler storage solutions

Yarn & Fiber - yarns and fibers for knitting and weaving

These are but a few of the more than 60 vendors. Of course all the longarm dealers will be there with machines for you to try. If you're considering purchasing a longarm or upgrading what you have, MQX is the only machine quilting focused show remaining in the US.

Quilt Show Competition Notifications

will be sent this week. We will release the list of accepted artists on the 20th with acceptance letters to follow in the few days afterward.

Supply List Clarification

Many times teachers provide generic supply lists assuming you will bring your own equipment. At MQX there is no need to lug your sewing machine (unless otherwise stated, see below) because they are provided by our generous sponsors/vendors.

ONLY ONE CLASS has the option for you to bring your own machine
and that is  Class E226 Seascapes with Marjan Kleupfel

Lodging and Travel Information - If you're flying in and need to take the convention hotel shuttle, please be reminded that the hotel has been renamed, DoubleTree.  Click here for information on all the MQX hotels and free daily shuttle.
