Are you allergic to ironing quilt backs? For those that machine quilt, lay a wrinkled backing across your frame and spritz with water in a spray bottle. Spray a bit extra on set in creases, then go wind bobbins, cut or unpackage batting, thread the machine, and about 15 minutes later, you'll have a smooth backing that's ready to load.
Note from JL: yeah, I know I shared this tip a couple years ago but it bears repeating. Mary and I haven't ironed backings for 15 years!
