With Lisa’s love of feathers she will unravel the mystery and put all your feathering fears to rest. Step-by-step Lisa will take the idea of their complexity and enlighten you with the true simplicity of applying such elegance and beauty to your next quilt.

Join Lisa in this Rulers for Rookies class and be ready for four full hours of ruler action. This class is a comprehensive hands-on class incorporating not only straight edges and circles but some of the other Quilter’s Groove Rulers as well.  Regardless of whether you’ve never touched a ruler, or feel that your skills could use a little coaching, this class will help you expand your skills.

Using Lisa’s approach, students will be astounded how easy feathers can be to execute and to move past the fear of feathers.  We will explore embellishing feathers for additional creativity which will bring hours of fun to quilting.  This class  incorporates drawing and stitching to enable students to create a unique and personal look to future quilt feathering.

This meet and greet allows students to remove the apprehension out of making a connection with the longarm machine. This class is perfect for the student who is thinking about purchasing the longarm or has just purchased one and feeling a bit overwhelmed. Lisa  will engage students in discussions that pertain to loading the top, the importance of square backing, simple all-over designs, simple custom designs, and many other important topics.
