Karen Sievert – Karen began her quilt making journey in 1997 when her sister dragged her into a quilt shop. She told her that all she had to do was sew a straight line! Karen soon found out that there was a little more involved in quilting than just stitching that straight line! Purchasing her first long arm in 1998, Karen became passionate about free motion quilting and the way the quilting could totally transform a quilt. Karen has written two piecing books, she teaches both domestic piecing and free motion longarm quilting classes and she has won numerous awards. Karen enjoys sharing the joy of quilting with others and watching her students realize that THEY CAN DO IT TOO!!!!
